We are looking for a Research Specialist in Software Engineering to join DIMECC Ltd. DIMECC is a co-creation company driving and supporting companies in their digital transformation journey, particularly within the Finnish technology industries. We facilitate international collaboration in R&D to create significant business impact through our dynamic innovation facilitation services.
Job Description
As a Research Specialist in Software Engineering at DIMECC, you will play a crucial role in our software projects. You will be responsible for gathering insights and requirements from key stakeholders, facilitating collaboration, and ensuring alignment in development efforts.
We actively support the candidate in pursuing a PhD to further academic and professional growth.
We Require
• A few years of relevant experience in industry or related research.
• An MSc degree or equivalent in software engineering or a related field, with a strong interest in pursuing a PhD.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary and international environment.
• Excellent fluency in both spoken and written English and Finnish.
We Appreciate
• Familiarity with hardware abstraction layers, software-defined vehicles, or open-source development.
• Previous experience with EU research projects or working in ecosystems involving multiple organizations.
• Experience in project management is also highly appreciated
• An innovative mindset and eagerness to contribute to impactful industrial research.
